Whether it’s her alluring charm, the way she looks up to smile at you or how her cute little, stumpy, no-tail havin’ booty looks as it trots along for walks; it’s hard to not be drawn to Willow.
Speaking of walks, she does amazing on them; with a loose leash, she follows your pace & attentive to your communication.
Willow can be reserved in new environments & shy to new people at first meet. However, she quickly with a calm approach & whatever snacks you have on hand😋
After that, she has no problem climbing in your lap & demanding all your attention. Willow desires nothing more than to be someone’s princess & spoiled rotten (your lap has her throne of course)👑
Willow was once a stray dog living on the streets of Cleveland. Despite being forgotten by her former “owners”, she remained hopeful until a very kind group of street-feeders recognized her potential & won over their hearts, which prompted her rescue to us 🖤
It is unknown what Willow went through on the streets. We do know she roamed with other dogs & did great with them. However, Willow has shown us that the loud & busy rescue-house enviorment is not a place she wishes to meet new dog-friends.
Because of Willow’s current uncertainty with other dogs, we hope to find Willow a home that has no other pets in the household & can offer her calmness & patience to fully decompress. With time & consistency, it is not unlikely that Willow could be amongst other dogs again. But for now, the responsible thing to do for Willow is to be with a family that can focus on making her feel comfortable & at home🏠
Willow is extremely trainable, affectionate, eager to please & highly food motivated. Sometimes on her morning walks, I subtract a few kibbles from her meals and scatter them in the grass for her to sniff out. She does her business first before looking up at me with that adorable grin as if to say “sniff & snack time!”🤩
